I have been working with Orinoco, a restaurant in Bree Street, Cape Town for a while now assisting with their marketing. I get to look at their menu and current specials on a daily basis and I told Pieter we *have* to have dinner there one evening. So last night, we had dinner there and oh my hat, the food was divine! Once you see the pictures below you’ll understand… We had a few tapas and then Pieter had a main meal, and I had a dessert as my main (because I can ;-)).
For those of you that are not familiar with Orinoco, it’s a Latin American restaurant based in Bree Street, Cape Town. Until 15 November 2013 they are running a half price tapas special on selected tapas (you can view their half price menu here) and they have an extensive variety of other tapas too.
Pardon the quality of the last two photos, I had to take them with my phone as the light was too low for my digital camera. The food at Orinoco was amazing, I was stuffed by the time we left. Pieter needed a main meal too as he felt the tapas alone was not enough for dinner, but it was definitely more than enough for me. Chef Migdalia is very passionate about what she does, and this is evident in Orinoco’s food. Between Migdalia, Danny and the waiters the service is efficient and friendly.
