Last post for 2012

It’s that time of the year again where we greet friends and family with ‘Merry Christmas!’ and ‘Happy New Year!’ and we make resolutions for the New Year. As I’m typing this post we are driving from Henties Bay to Otjiwarongo and we’ve already had a week’s fun in the sun and quality time with my future in-laws.

2012 was a year that I won’t easily forget – for both good and bad reasons. Cancer claimed the life of more than one loved one this year, and it’s never easy to say goodbye, especially when so unexpected. Tercia will always be in our hearts <3 With the sad news, amazing news came our way when one of my oldest and best friends announced she is expecting their first baby. Definitely one of the highlights of my year for many reasons - my friend is a cancer survivor and one of the strongest woman I know. Miracles still do happen đŸ™‚ Looking back, this year was a great business year. A busy one, but also really successful. Now it's time to set even higher goals for 2013! Next year is going to be a big year for us. Pieter and I got engaged in November 2011 and set our wedding date for 30 March 2013. Back then our wedding seemed years away but now it's around the corner. Just over 3 months until our big day! I can't wait to have all our loved ones in one place to witness our marriage and celebrate the beginning of our new life. Right now I'm taking a bit of a digital time out to make the most of our holiday and the time we have together as a family. On that note, enjoy the few days that's left of 2012. If you're travelling, be safe on the roads. Have a blessed Christmas and may 2013 be your best year yet, regardless of the goals that you have set for yourself. My next blog post will be in 2013, until then - stay safe and enjoy your holiday.
