Winter staples

I realised while packing for our upcoming trip to Cape Town that we don’t really have ‘winter’ in Namibia. Yes, it’s cooler in the mornings and evenings, but seriously – our swimming pool water is still between 20C and 22C – that’s not really winter.

I had a tough time coming up with an outfit for this wedding (which I’ll share soon!) so I did quite a bit of online shopping over the last couple of weeks 🙂 The wedding is going to be in the Ceres area which is notoriously cold in winter. I contemplated ordering something and have it delivered to a friend’s house, but the risk was too big. What if it didn’t fit properly? I only have one day in Cape Town before the wedding to find another outfit. Luckily I found a dress here in Tsumeb that will do the job.

When I was asked by Superbalist to put together my ideal winter outfit based on items from their online store, I already knew what those items were. I had a few links saved from my online ‘window shopping’ – if there’s such a thing. I couldn’t decide on only one outfit, so here are a few of my favourites.

Dress and over the knee boots

I am obsessed with this look – I’d wear something like this every single day. It’s super covered up but yet so understated and sexy – which I love. My over the knee boots is probably my favourite pair of shoes!

I absolutely love the athleisure trend – I’m traveling to China in October and this will be my go-to look as we’re going to be walking all day every day while there.

Dress and coat

This was actually the outfit that I was shopping for and I managed to find something very similar here in Tsumeb. I love the draping of the dress and the blush coloured trench is just so pretty and feminine.

Go take a look at Superbalist’s coats, boots and dresses…they have so many pretty stuff…I wish I could shop for a living!

What do you think of the looks in this post? Let me know – I’d love to hear from you 🙂
