I realized this morning that I haven’t blogged in a long, long time. So, hallo! I’m still here, and I haven’t forgotten about you guys 🙂 We’ve been in Namibia for almost three months (well, more like 2 months and 2 weeks) and I finally feel like we’re starting to settle in. Most of the things we wanted to do in and around the house is sorted, I’m on top of my work (I feel like I’m jinxing myself when I say that…) and we have a daily routine – sort of.
I still want to do a post detailing our experiencing of moving to Namibia, plus some tips and contact details of moving companies, etc. We struggled to find a decent moving company, didn’t know what to expect once we got to the border, and so forth. I want to put our thoughts and tips all in one place and hopefully someone else will find it useful.
Life here is so different to the life we had in Cape Town – and that probably deserves a blog post on its own! The pace of life, the people, the social aspect. I’ll write a post about these and the adjustments / differences – some day. On another note, we added to our fur family! Buskruit joined the family about a month ago, and he is such a big, sweet baby. I took him to the vet yesterday, and at just over three months he’s already weighing almost 19kg. He’s going to be a big boy 🙂
Since we’ve been here, I’ve travelled to Cape Town twice for work – so basically once every month since we’ve been here. We also have friends driving up from Cape Town to visit us for a week in a couple of days, and I’m SO looking forward to their stay! During my last visit to Cape Town, Bianca and I met up for a quick lunch – and that’s where these photos were taken.
I absolutely ADORE these over-the-knee boots. I bought them in New York and they’re my current favourites 🙂 It’s not really winter here yet, it’s quite warm during the day, so I haven’t been able to do the full winter-outfit thing yet. I can’t wait to wear all of my coats again!
Anyway, that’s it from me. A quick hallo to let you know I’m still here and I haven’t forgotten about this blog – even though it may seem so 🙂 I’m a bit more active on Instagram, so follow me there if you want to stay in touch. I hope you’re all doing well. Drop me a comment, I’d love to hear from you!
