Counting down

One more day…just one more day then it’s officially holiday! Well, for some of us. I’m ‘closing’ Twenty3Media tomorrow (Friday) for a couple of weeks over the festive season – but if you work for yourself, you’re never really off or on holiday. I’ll keep checking on client campaigns, post content and so forth but I will also be spending time with friends and family, reading, sleeping late and taking naps in the afternoon. Most of my clients go on leave during December / January, so things are normally a bit quieter and more relaxed than usual.

This time of the year is where I I look back over the last few months and I reflect, make plans and set goals for the new year. 2015 is going to be an exciting one for us – we’re making ‘the big move’ back to Namibia, something that’s been in the pipeline for a few years. I have so many plans for 2015, but I’ve learned to focus on only a few big things to accomplish – this is much more manageable than an overwhelmingly long list of want-to-do’s. So, I will spend the next few weeks narrowing down my goals for 2015.

I have some exciting plans for StyleDiary for the new year. We may be moving to Namibia but it’s definitely not going to be the end of this blog! I’m working on a redesign at the moment. I’ve been looking at new themes for a while now, and I just can’t find anything that really grabs me or stand out. I’ve started working on a custom theme design but I keep on making changes to the design. If all goes well the new look should be live by February / March next year. Hold thumbs 🙂

I thought I would end off the working year with one final, more ‘formal’ look post. This outfit is one of my favourites to wear to client meetings – I don’t work in an office but I think it will work for an office environment too. I’m all about black and white the last couple of months, I have so many striped / blocked monochrome pieces! Take a look at the photos below and let me know what you think.

If I had to describe this look in three words I’d say bold, fearless and elegant. What three words do you think describe this look best? Leave me a comment below! Also take a look at my profile on Skip’s #ThreeWordWardrobe website and upload your own looks!

And on that note – if you’re also going on leave tomorrow, enjoy your holiday! If you’re driving to your destination, please be safe on the roads. Stay in touch by connecting on Instagram. Have fun!
