I was invited to attend the Dune London South Africa spring / summer 2014 preview and boy oh boy, if you love shoes as much as I do then you’re going to LOVE this post! You’ll see what I mean if you scroll down 😉
The event was held at the Buitenverwachting wine estate in Constantia. We live on the West Coast so we don’t go to Constantia-side of the world often, but we really should. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous!
It was a chilly, rainy morning so I was very happy to see that there was a coffee bar at the event. I needed that caffeine fix 😉 I forgot my DSLR camera at home (rookie blogger mistake!) and snapped some pics with my iPhone – hence the poor quality. Luckily the super organised team from Phatic Communications gave us a flash drive with high res pictures of all the shoes that were showcased.
However, I have one more photo from my phone that I want to show you – this sandal absolutely stole my heart. I’m in the market for new summer sandals and I think I found the perfect pair! I love the colourful detail on the toned-down sandal. So so pretty!
If you’re getting married soon, go take a look at their heeled summer sandals. The one in the bottom right corner is too die for and the one above it is pretty for a wedding shoe too.
How gorgeous are all the colours and shapes? Perfect for summer! Angela Chiu, the Marketing Manager that flew over from London to attend the event, gave us the low-down on the different trends we can expect this coming season. From bright colours to pointy heels and pretty pastels, Dune London has got something for every taste. Like their Facebook page to stay up to date with their latest releases.
If you want to view the full collection or if you’re looking for the price of a specific shoe, download the full look book by clicking here. The items will be available at selected Edgars stores nationwide. Do you see anything that you’d like to add to your summer wardrobe? Let me know – I’d love to hear what’s caught your eye!
I just have to give a shout out to Sarann and Candice from Phatic Communications. I deal with my fair share of PR teams and they just ‘get’ the PR game and how to build relationships with bloggers. From sending beautiful invites way in advance (to give you time to plan, most PR agencies think bloggers sit and do nothing while they wait for the next event or freebie) to reminders a couple of days before the event – they’re super organised. Do you know how many events I’ve been to where you don’t even get something as simple as a hash tag to use for the event? Cringe! Candice and Sarann, you’re doing a great job and thank you so much for the lovely Dune London event! All the best for future projects 🙂
