Whenever I wear this skirt I think of Milan, lots of walking, endless exploring and tiramisu…such great memories! A couple of years ago when my Mom, sister and I visited Italy I bought this skirt at Zara in Milan. This was before Zara in Cape Town opened and I went on holiday with 8kg of luggage. I came back after two weeks with more than 32kg, my Mom had to bring back some of my stuff as part of her luggage. I was on a serious shopping mission and this skirt is one of my favourite pieces that I bought on that trip.
I love the colour, the cut and the higher waist of this skirt – for me this is an investment piece that I’ll hopefully wear for many years to come. I normally dress it up with ankle boots but for this look I decided to wear it with flat, rugged boots and a chunky silver watch for a more edgy look.
What I’m wearing: Black top from Mango / Skirt from Zara / Stockings from Pick n Pay / Shoes from Edgars
