Uwe Koetter invited me to attend their bridal media event at their showroom on Thursday evening and oh boy, I wish I could have my wedding all over again! They’ve got so many gorgeous engagement rings and wedding bands in their showroom, and at the event we were shown some of the latest wedding trends – including cakes, rings, dresses and beauty.
Justine from Cake Couture by Justine took us through some of the latest wedding cake trends and she also sent each guest home with a red velvet cupcake. Thanks Justine, I had made for breakfast the next morning and it was absolutely delicious! If you’re looking for a wedding cake supplier in Cape Town, contact Justine. Here are a few of her creations.
Natasha from Olivelli took us through some of the latest wedding dress trends. You can expect embellishments, detail on the back and lace to feature strongly in the new season’s wedding dresses. All of Olivelli’s wedding dresses are imported. They also stock Maggie Sottero – my wedding dress was a Maggie Sottero creation and I absolutely love her dresses. Take a look at their full collection by clicking here. They also offer bridal accessories and Mother of the bride outfits, so if you’re getting married – make an appointment with Natasha and her team. Here are just some of the wedding gowns Olivelli stock.
Cheryl McEwan, who also took the photos at the event, showed us some of her beautiful wedding pictures. She’s a very talented wedding photographer – I like how her photos seem unposed and make use of natural light. Here are just a few of her stunning pictures. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer in Cape Town – get in touch with Cheryl.
Dr Graeme from Skin Renewal also talked to us about the bride’s skincare routine and possible beauty procedures to help prepare for the big day. All in all it was a very informative and fun evening. We helped to choose the winners of Uwe Koetter’s “best proposal” competition, and Amelia Shirley and her fiance are the lucky winners of his and her’s wedding bands to the value of R15 000. Read their proposal story here – I’m so happy they won, I voted for their story 🙂
UWE KOETTER ENGAGEMENT RING PROMOTION
Uwe Koetter also announced their ‘Diamond Rain’ offering at the media event. This is a one of a kind offer, and it’s centered around the belief that if it rains on your wedding day, it is a blessing. It poured on our wedding day so if the belief is true we’re going to have a looooonnng and happy marriage 😉 If you purchase your engagement ring from Uwe Koetter, register for the Diamond Rain promotion and it rains on your wedding day Uwe Koetter will refund you the price of your engagement ring (up to R20 000). How great is this? Obviously there are some terms and conditions – most notably that the rainfall on your wedding day will be measured at the closest international airport by the South African Weather Services. Also, the rainfall is subject to a minimum based on the average daily rainfall of the area. So for Cape Town, it has to rain more than 30mm before your engagement ring is refunded.
Guys (and girls), if you’re looking for engagement rings specifically – visit Uwe Koetter’s showroom in Cape Quarter, Cape Town. They really have the most beautiful engagement rings in stock or you can discuss having a custom ring made based on your budget and needs.
Thank you to Uwe, Johan, Renay and Tracy for inviting me and for a fun evening!
