French red clay facial mask {beauty review}

I kicked off this week with a little bit of TLC for my face, thanks to Colette from Alive. She sent me Alive’s Red Velvet face mask to try out. The mask is made from red French clay, an ingredient known to treat anti-aging. The clay mask draws impurities out of the pores of your skin to give it a deep cleanse.

The French clay mask

I applied the clay face mask one morning before taking a shower. The mask is easy to apply and after I spread the clay evenly on my face, I continued to do some work for about 20 minutes before removing the mask in the shower.

The mask, already drying in some areas

I like how the mask gets harder and ‘pull’ your skin as the clay dries, it feels like your skin is being cleansed. The mask left my skin soft and smooth – next time I’m going to exfoliate my skin before applying the mask as I have quite dry skin. I think this will help to improve the results from the mask.

If you’re looking for natural beauty products like clay face masks, take a look at Alive’s website. In addition to other beauty products like bath soaks they offer weight loss products too. Have you used any of their clay masks? If yes – how did you find it? Chat to me in the comments 🙂
