It took me a long, long time to get used to doing a side french braid. It’s still not perfect, but the braid is looking a lot better than what it used to when I just started out. I quite like wearing my hair with a french braid on the side and an off centre bun (I’ll have to take a better photo the next time I do that) and I also like to do this side braided sleek ponytail.
I’d like to get my braid to be a bit fatter, but this is already a lot better than what it used to be. The first attempt looked like a mangled, koeked string of hair. So, what do you think? Will you give it a try? A tip from my side, I only add strands of hair from the bottom to create the braid, and not from the top. This way your hair stay smooth on the top. Another tip, once the braid gets to the point where the ponytail is going to start, pin it down with bobby pins while you gather your hair for the ponytail. Voila! This braided hairstyle really is easy once you get the hang of it. You know what they say, practice makes perfect 😉
