Mop Hair Cape Town invited me to visit their hair and beauty salon in Cape Town CBD earlier this week and what an experience! Shanti, Gabrielle, Namhla and the rest of the team is amazing and I had a great time. I definitely walked out looking better than when I arrived! 😉 I used to consult on-site for a client not too far from where Mop Hair Cape Town is located and I didn’t even know they’re just around the corner. If I did, I would have visited them a long time ago!
Gabrielle showed me around before my treatments and all I can say is wow – what a great space! Mop Hair’s whole vibe is elegant chic – take a look for yourself. I absolutely love it.
I was given a Joico four phase moisturising treatment by Namhla. All in all the treatment is about 20 minutes and after your hair has been blow dried, you’re left with silky and shiny locks. The first phase makes use of a clarifying shampoo to remove any build up from chlorine or styling products while at the same time moisturising your hair. During the second phase of the Joico hair treatment, a cuticle sealer is applied to smooth and tighten cuticles. The second last step involved a deep penetrating reconstructor treatment that is rich in protein to help rebuild and improve the structure of the hair. Lastly, an intense hydrator is applied to restore moisture and it also helps to seal the cuticule.
While Namhla blow dried my hair, Gabrielle started working on my manicure. It felt a bit like a scene from Miss Congeniality 😉 Gabrielle applied a Shellac manicure in a nice, deep red. I’ve had a Shellac mani before and loved it. I especially appreciate that it can last for up to 14 days with no chips and that it does not damage your nails. A Shellac manicure is also super glossy up until the day you remove it, so it looks like you’ve just had your nails done. Plus, with the Shellac polish there is virtually no drying time – once the polish is cured under the UV lamp the polish is dry and won’t smudge.
All in all, I’ll definitely visit Mop Hair Cape Town again. Take a look at their Facebook fan page, they post a lot of specials and promotions there. Here are their other contact details:
