My go to up do

We all have that one trusty hairstyle that we go back to…frequently. My tied-back-up-do below is super easy to create. Here is how to get this look:

Tease the front section of your hair (the fringe part) and pin it back whichever way you like. To add some detail to the up do, take two sections of hair on each side of your head and twist it up – pin it just behind where you pinned your fringe back with bobby pins. If you’re in a hurry, just skip this step and create a plain up do.

What I like about this hairstyle is that all my hair is out of my face – perfect for a windy Cape Town day

Tease the rest of your remaining hair to create some volume and tie it back in a ponytail. You can create the bun whichever way you like, even a bit messier that what I did here. For a more bed-head look, move the bun to the top of your head and loosely tie it up. You can pin any fly away ends in with bobby pins. Spray your hair with a stronghold hairspray and voila – you’re ready to go! If you have any questions, ask me in the comments.
