Gotta love me some Zara

Last week while my Mom was here we shopped for Mother of the bride dress for her and on day two of the shopping expedition we popped in at Zara. They had two dresses that my Mom tried on that were really strong contenders, but in the end a gorgeous Mango dress won. There were three dresses that I liked, they have really great stock at the moment. Actually, they always have great items in stock…

This is such a cute dress – the dress has cutout detail on the sides that you can’t see on this photo

I didn’t try on this dress as I was looking for something a bit more formal but I liked the peter pan collar on this dress

coral zara dress

The pretty coral number that I bought – now I finally found a dress that I can wear to the dinner with all our friends and family the evening before our wedding. Just not sure I’ll be able to let the dress hang in my cupboard until then…

It’s a pity that Zara is only situated in the V&A Waterfront, it’s such a mission to get there if you don’t live in that area. On the other hand, if Zara was in Canal Walk my financial situation would have looked a lot worse so perhaps it’s better that Zara is out of my way (so to speak) 😉 On a serious note though, they have gorgeous items and compared to other retailers (Truworths, Foschini…I’m looking at you) they offer great value for money. Have you heard that Topshop is opening in the Waterfront in April? I CAN NOT WAIT! On that note, have a good weekend peeps – I have a sushi date with some of my favourite ladies tonight to look forward to.
