Seriously, if I knew it was this easy to make cordon bleu I would have tried it loooong ago. When I looked for a cordon bleu recipe I searched for “very easy cordon bleu recipe” and this recipe from Mel’s Kitchen Cafe caught my attention. And it really is a super easy recipe – I’m also pretty sure it’s flop proof because mine came out so decadent.
Even though I think they came out well, next time I’ll use more ham and cheese if I’m making this variation again
What I loved about this recipe is that you can prepare the chicken up to one day before you cook it. So if you have guests over for dinner you can do all the hard work preparing the chicken the day / evening before, pop it in the fridge and cook it while your guests are there. It’s also very likely that you already have all the ingredients needed in your kitchen, that’s another thing that I love about this dish. The next time I’m making cordon bleu I’m going to stuff the chicken with crispy bacon and cheese. Does that not sound delicious?! Until next time
