I tweeted about the Clicks beauty sale earlier this month and I picked up some really nice goodies at the sale that I have been trying out over the last couple of weeks.
This grey nail polish was one of the beauty bargains that I picked up at the Clicks sale. Tried it out for the first time today and I quite like the grey mani and pedi that I’m sporting at the moment.
With our wedding coming closer really quickly I have been playing around with makeup ideas and looks for the big day. I tested some DIY lash extensions and as you can see from the picture below, the lash extensions make quite a big difference. In the pic below you can see the eye on the left already has the extensions on while the eye on the right is my natural eyelashes. The bonus with eyelash extensions is that it is not necessary to wear any mascara.
I found a great way of curling your hair without using any heat. It involves A LOT of bobby pins! Pinning up your hair to form the curls take about the same time as it would if you curl your hair with a ghd (or in my case a Cloud Nine), and then of course there is the drying time. In the picture below I wore my hair pinned up the whole day and the result was nice, bouncy curls.
The “up-do” that you create by pinning your hair up is actually a very nice look and something that I’d wear to work or client meetings. This technique is great for an easy day-to-night look; you can wash your hair in the morning, apply mousse, pin it up, go to work and just before you go out take out the bobby pins and apply hair spray to hold your curls in place. Easy peasy!
Another amazing DIY beauty technique that I discovered last week is a baking soda mask. It is good for clearing out pores and is a nice exfoliating mask too. I’m going to apply it a few more times before I blog about its effects. That’s it from my side, stay beautiful peeps! 😉
