I just love summer. Especially coming up with outfit ideas for the new season and shopping for a new wardrobe. Over the last few weeks I’ve added a number of pretty summer dresses to my ever-growing collection. One can never have too many flowy, colourful summer dresses in my opinion! 😉
When I started this fashion blog the idea was to showcase my personal style. My style and dress sense may not be trendy / fashionable / appeal to some people and that is okay. I’d like to think that my personal fashion style is trendy chic and sometimes fashionable (remember the printed pants? :)) I love coming up with outfit ideas and mixing and matching what I already have. I like to buy trendy / fashionable pieces at franchise stores (like Mr Price and Ackermans) and invest in more classic pieces (like this blue Mango dress) that will last more than one season. One of my best fashion tips that I can give is invest in accessories like leather bags, proper shoes and quality jewellery.
This summer I am planning on spending most of my days in dresses. Right now I have enough dresses to probably wear a different dress every day for two weeks. The blue chiffon dress below is one of my best finds while we were in Italy. It’s soft, flowy and so comfortable to wear.
Pardon the elevator photo – some days I forget to take outfit photos. I’m wearing: Blue dress from Italy / Belt from YDE / Sandals from Accessorize / Sunnies from Exact / Nail polish Valentine by Revlon
Summer fashion is what you make of it – for me it’s going to be a lot of dresses. I think one of my next posts will focus on some of my favourite summer dresses in my wardrobe…keep an eye out for it if you like dresses too.
