Rumour has it that South Africa (and the Western Cape specifically) is going to have an early winter in 2012 – as early as at the end of April already. The evenings are getting chillier and if this rumour is to be believed, then it’s the perfect excuse to start building your autumn / winter 2012 wardrobe.
I’ve always loved tailored blazers – I have two that are quite old (the one was my Mom’s when she was in her twenties) and I love them to bits. This autumn / winter I’m going to add one or two additional tailored blazers to my wardrobe, much like this navy blazer from Woolworths (R475.00).
A blazer is a great transition fashion item – for when it’s not hot but it’s also not really cold, just chilly. I love the idea of wearing a blazer over a cute little dress, and I’ve done this to many weddings where it’s nice and hot during the afternoon, but chilly in the evening
Another look that I love is blazers with really skinny jeans or tights. It’s just so chic – and seem effortless.
Summer is definitely my favourite season but I can’t wait for winter to start, the fashion trends this season is gorgeous…just imagine wearing a tailored blazer with a chunky scarf, great fitting skinny jeans, a pair of kick-ass boots and a gorgeous sling bag. Swoon!
