At home teeth whitening with White Glo

I recently got engaged (yay!), and have been going through what feels like thousands of photos looking for a wedding photographer. This got me thinking about the preparations for the engagement shoot, engagement party, wedding and so forth. Too much red wine and coffee have left my teeth less than sparkling white, and after researching a couple of teeth whitening options I decided to try out a home teeth whitening kit. I settled on the White Glo Express Whitening System, which you can find at Clicks for R179.99.

The teeth whitening kit comes with two mouth trays which you mold to fit your mouth. You apply the whitening gel to the inside of the tray, insert it and make sure that the whitening gel is evenly distributed. I’ve roughly had 15 applications thus far, and I can definitely see a noticeable difference in the colour of my teeth. I also have sensitive teeth and was worried that the whitening gel will increase the sensitivity, but it hasn’t. My teeth are not sparkling white yet, but my smile is looking a whole lot better!

If you don’t expect to achieve a bright white smile within days (or hours), White Glo is a good home teeth whitening kit. If you need results fast, I recommend that you visit a dentist for a teeth whitening session. The more cost effective option is obviously a home kit, but results take longer to show. (*The quote that I received from my dentist for an express teeth whitening procedure was approximately R1500.00, contact your dentist for accurate costs.) I’m going to continue using White Glo, and I still have about 1/2 of the bottle of whitening gel left. Here’s to a bright smile! 🙂
